Relentless Self Love
"Your reflection does not define your worth."
I anonymously post these post-it notes in random bathrooms (such as in restaurants, coffee shops and highway rest stops) in the hope that a few other men and woman who are struggling with negative self esteem can be jolted out of judging themselves based on society's harsh and superficial standards.
I've learned that even if you have a sh*tty body-image day (or month), you have to relentlessly love yourself, even if you have to fake it until you make it. After years of self hatred, you actually have to rewire the circuts in your brain to be able to look in the mirror and think kind and loving thoughts about the person looking back at you.
Help me spread these message by either donating to our team fundraising goal ($1,150), or walking with us in the NYC NEDA Walk on Sunday, October 1st! Your contribution will help fund NEDA’s national Helpline, National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, NEDA Navigators and countless other lifesaving programs. Any help/support is greatly appreciated. Thank you! <3 <3
