Brooke's NEDA Walk Fundraiser & Awareness Page
I'm raising money for NEDA because for 9 years I struggled with Anorexia. Most specialist have no clue how I survived. It took year 9 for me to want to change, and in the diet culture we live in it was hard.
I was privilged to have parents who could afford great care, yet throughout my treatment I saw very sick people turned down from care due to lack of funds. Not only will this money help save lives, but it will contribute to the prevention of eating disorders. In the days leading up to the NEDA walk I will provide you with ways to contribute that do not require a finacnial donation. Although encouraged, money alone will not cure the disease. The cure is within our culture, our ideas about thinness.
If you can't give money it is OK! You can actually do so much more to save a life and prevent eating disorders with my monthly and sometimes weekly challenges. It would mean the world to me if you'd participate.

Thank you for visiting my personal NEDA Walk fundraising page! Below is specific information about NEDA and Eating Disorders.
Did you know that 30 million Americans struggle with an eating disorder at some point in their lives? And despite their prevalence, eating disorders receive significantly less funding than other major mental illnesses, and support options are often inaccessible. As a result, too many people are left feeling helpless, hopeless, and frightened – this is why I'm participating in the NEDA Walk to benefit the National Eating Disorders Association.
I am asking for your support to help me reach my fundraising goal. Donating to my fundraising page is a way for you to not only show your support for me, but also to show your support for the millions of individuals and families affected by eating disorders.
As the leading U.S. nonprofit supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders, NEDA serves as a catalyst for prevention, cures, and access to quality care. Your contribution will put life-saving resources into the hands of those in need. Learn more about NEDA's mission and work at https://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org.
Thank you so much for your support!
